WACHOX.com is not only a comprehensive database of adventure organisations, latest outdoor events, adventure articles, news and gear reviews but WACHOX.com also introduces XNET the first social network and forum for all adventurers to connect with fellow outdoors enthusiasts, share experiences and interact.

Adventure sports and outdoor activities have now long been a part of our lives. Millions of people worldwide have enriched their lives by being part of this unconventional branch of sports.
Not only do adventure sports help in imbibing qualities like courage, physical strength, risk taking and team spirit but they also prepare the mind to better cope up with the ups and downs of life.
Realising this very early in their lives, Endeavour Adventures Pvt. Ltd ( EAPL ), was founded by 6 adventure sports enthusiasts in Nov, 2010 by who believe that adventure is more about more about the journey than the destination;. The objective of EAPL is to promote and propagate the spirit of adventure through adventure sports activities and outdoor sports, in people at large.

WACHOX.com is founded by outdoors enthusiasts who believe that adventure is more about more about the journey than the destination; it’s about enjoying the nature with the right company and in the right spirit. With a view to bring together all such adventure aficionados, WACHOX intends to promote, list, review and showcase several activities including Trekking, Mountaineering, Camping, Horse Riding, White Water Rafting, Paragliding, Backpacking, and more than 60 outdoor activities. Rather than being just another adventure sports company, EAPL, has a unique character that rises out of a desire to experience and share the sheer joy of outdoor sports with others. Out of the many projects outlined by EAPL, the launch of WACHOX.com , India’s first and only adventure and outdoor sports portal , is testimony to its unique character.

WACHOX.com is owned by Endeavour Adventures Pvt. Ltd a company founded by 6 outdoor enthusiasts who are not only passionate about adventure sports but also bring unique skills and experience to the table. Here is more about them

Siddharth Shah ( Founder & C.E.O ).
Self educated - Self taught brand designer ( Founder of ACID Designs ), a passionate foodie, an avid travelled, a film buff and a diehard adventurer'; Siddharth is the dreamer, innovator and creator behind WACHOX.com.

• Nihal Kulkarni ( Co-Founder ).
B.A in economics from Brown University-USA, Managing Director of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, a financial wizard, border line geek, award winning horse rider and a diehard adventurer, Nihal is the business and financial brain behind WACHOX.com.

• Avni Shetty ( Co-Founder & Director ).
B.A. in Economics and B.A.L.L.B from Mumbai University, an International swimmer, multiple gold medal winning National champion, runner up at Fear Factor ( Khatron Ke Khiladi 3 ), passionate backpacker and a diehard adventurer; Avni is the constant idea machine and head of content at WACHOX.com.

• Niranjan Paranjpe ( Co-Founder & Director ).
B.A. in Political Science and Masters is Mass Communication from Pune University, a wellness and fitness consultant (Founder of The Wellness Club), a motivational speaker, passionate writer and a diehard adventurer; Niranjan is the head of Sales and Marketing at WACHOX.com.

• Prasad Tawade ( Co-Founder ).
Bachelors of Engineering from Pune University and Masters in Engineering Management from the Duke University -USA, a blogger, an avid traveler, creator of jokes and a diehard adventurer; Prasad is the head of Strategy at WACHOX.com.

• Vinit Barde ( Co-Founder & Director ).
Bachelors of Engineering from Pune University and Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Purdue-USA, a passionate chef cum foodie, a fitness enthusiast and a diehard adventurer; Vinit is the head of business development at WACHOX.com.

4. WHY WACHOX WAS STARTED and WHY SUCH A QUIRKY NAME ?

The Founders of WACHOX.com have been active in the field of adventure and outdoors for the past 20 years; both as a participants and as organisers. Over the years, Siddharth Shah ( Founder & C.E.O ) realised that there doesn't exist a single platform ( print, internet or otherwise ) where he as an organiser can share upcoming events and challenges with other participants, or even as a participant get a single point forum to get information on adventure / outdoor events, reviews on organisations, activities and gear.etc.
For years he has been the go-to guy for all his friends and relatives, when it came to recommending a good weekend plan or giving a review on an upcoming event or organisation.
The sheer need of sharing information on what's good and what's bad is what inspired Siddharth to start WACHOX.com

We believe that a brand name for a web based company is not just a studiously crafted personality profile but also needs to be small, quirky and have a massive recall value and more importantly be available across all domains and handles ( FB & Twitter.etc ). In an close circle of friends, we tend to develop our own language, phrases, pet names and go to words. WACHOX was one such expression that was frequently used by all the founders and their adventure buddies as a filler word..viz. ranging from "wow ! what a WACHOX girl" to "His Bike just got WACHOXed"..The meaning of WACHOX is derived from its context and that really excited everyone when it came to naming this new endeavour.
