Adventure Racing
Adventure Racing (also called as expedition racing) is a combination of two or more adventure disciplines, including orienteering and / or navigation, cross-country trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, paddling and climbing with related rope skills. An expedition adventure race can span across terrains and last up to ten days or more, while sprint races can be completed in a matter of hours. There is typically no dark period during races i.e. the race never stops till the finish line, irrespective of length; competitors must choose if or when to rest. Adventure racing is a team event and teams are to be of a specified size and have to include both men and women.
