Waterskiing is a surface water sport where an individual who is wearing water skis is pulled behind a high speed boat or a cable ski installation on a body of water, skimming the surface. Barefoot Skiing requires immense practice and skill as the skier has to skim the water with his bare feet. An advanced version of waterskiing is called as Wakeboarding. The rider stands on a short but very broad water ski, called a wakeboard with their feet secured to the board with specifically designed wakeboarding bindings. The board/binding setup is conceptually similar to a snowboard, but obviously is designed for use on water
