Caving / Spelunking

Caving or Spelunking as it is sometimes referred, is a leisure sport which involves exploring cave systems and structures. The challenge in this sport is to negotiate through naturally occurring cracks, pitches and water inside the cave. Climbing and crawling is often necessary in moving ahead inside the caves. Ropes and other equipments are used extensively to safely negotiate steep or slippery patches. In recent times, spelunking has grown in popularity and changed considerably due to the availability of modern protective wear and safety equipment.
