This adventure is easy-moderate in difficulty level and has some moderately difficult inclines en route. The total trek distance is roughly 60Kms covered over 4 trekking days. Our destination – the Bansi Narayan temple is at an altitude of around 3600 meters and the summit is reached after climbing another 400 meters.

At higher altitudes you will trek through snow and the temperature is expected to drop to -4 to -8 degrees Celsius at night. You should expect bright sunlight during the days.

The trek route passes through dense oak forests and crosses lush green meadows.

Stay on the trek is in camping tents, caves and a temple en route. You will have a roaring bonfire to keep you warm. During the trek you will also get a chance to stay in a village (depending on time and logistics).

Wildlife: This time of the year is very good for bird watching and chances are you will get to see some exotic Himalayan birdlife like the Monal (The state bird of Uttarakhand), small birds and raptors. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see some wildlife like the Musk Deer.
